3/4” Water Service Line Installation for New Home Construction

Today, we're diving into a crucial part of any new construction - setting up a reliable water service. We recently completed a 3/4” water service installation for a new build in Vestavia Hills. This involved some meticulous planning and execution to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We kicked off the project with the installation of 10 feet of Type K soft copper from the meter. It’s a sturdy choice, great for preventing corrosion and ensuring longevity. From there, we transitioned to Type A PEX for the rest of the run to the house, making sure the home receives consistent water flow.

Our team used an excavator to dig the trench about 18 inches deep, creating a safe and protective pathway for the piping. This depth is key to preventing any future damage from pressure or unforeseen disturbances. Completing this trench securely lets us guarantee superior water service for years to come.
